When was the last time you were humiliated by a teacher? It’s been awhile since I went to class and even when I was enrolled in School, I still had poor attendance. However, the question is one that reminds me of the most haunting experience. Being a nice chubby 7th grader, I fought hard to get just a little respect from of my classmates. They were idiots and more importantly, clueless as to what it meant to be a collaborator. On this fair day in February, I was at the time, leaning heavily on my elbow as it posted my forearm up to my head. My hands cradled my chin and my eyes affixed to a dark haired beauty just to the NE of me.
She could sing, she was beautiful, she could put a mob down with a subtle smile. On this day, my teacher must have suspected my actions as being atrocious because here interupted speech, by my construction like stance, set the world around me on fire.
Ms. Temple – “Nick, there you are looking over at her, gazingly adoring her. Care to fill us in.”
Mortified Nick – “Uh, what, uh umm, I, uh, umm”
Classroom – “LAUGH LAUGH, LAUGH REALLY FUCKING HARD…HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH”
Nick’s personal life which was worthless at the time had been flat-lined. Way to go Ms. Temple. You made a star out of me.
